What I learnt today…

 DISASSOCIATION ✨

“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose/ By any other name would smell as sweet.” Shakespeare’s very famous quote. I clearly relate to our very famous writer.

As a therapist, I constantly learn from my clients and this time a very new awareness came to me regarding names. I realised that when we have names related to famous people, personalities, heroes, mythological characters etc, very sub consciously, we relate to their lives and beliefs as well. Eg Krishna, he is a very important and larger than life personality. Since his character is so multi-dimensional and huge, the person who is named after him starts connecting with his stories and experiences. Also people around him will look at him with a different eye.

Our society and the judgement related to that important person slowly but surely seeps into us. From childhood, our parents, teachers, family society will keep putting in the heroic stories and it will eventually reflect in us and our conditioning.

How many of us would like to name our kids with famous names like Ravan, Pran, Hitler etc. I have not heard, have you?

Thus it goes to say that Names are very important and they also play a role in building our personality only if we live in awareness.

What I learnt… It is very important be aware and create your own beliefs, attitudes and learn through your own experiences.

Be YOU and walk the path of your own creation and Name…🚶🧑‍🤝‍🧑
