10 Morning Rituals that have the power to change your day Leave a comment

The mornings can be used to determine how the rest of your day turns out. Consider the following: when you wake up in a hurry, pick up your phone, hurry out and leave, you bring that stress with you. Regardless, it is much easier to go through the whole day relaxed and serene when you begin it with thoughtful and peaceful acts. Here is where morning rituals are important. They are not just the routines but some steps of self-care and discipline which predetermine positivism in the following hours.

There are just a few morning rituals that although, after all, it is very modest, have the power to change your days!

1. Get Up a Little Come Earlier

The easiest step to making room in your morning rituals is to set your alarm clock earlier than you need to. 20 or 30 minutes can be a great help. It is not that you lose some sleep; it is instead that you adjust the bed time such that when you wake up you feel refreshed and that you get some personal time before the day takes up.

Early waking creates a feeling of power. The world is more silent and quiet, distractions are few and you get an opportunity to set the tone without being in a hurry. It is as though you give yourself an extra advantage because everyone is still asleep.

2. Hydrate

Prior to pouring coffee, you should treat your body to what it really needs after several hours of sleep, this is water. Water can promote your metabolism, flush out toxins and clean your system. There are even those who put in lemon to make it more refreshing.

It is such an insignificant thing to do yet it sends a message to your mind that you are making a commitment to wellness right out of the gate.

3. Do Mindfulness or Meditation

Your thoughts are alive and ready to get moving: things to do, concerns about the day ahead, perhaps even yesterday carried over stress. Even a couple of minutes to five to ten to sit still breathe deeply or meditate will quiet the chatter in your mind.

Mindfulness does not need to be made out to be some complex thing. Just be seated comfortably, close your eyes and concentrate in your breath. When thoughts come in say, ok, welcome back to my mind then get back to breathing. This exercise relieves anxiety and is calming, trains attention, and roots you to the task of the day.

4. Just do it

You mustn’t accept a morning workout to enjoy the benefits of morning motion. Yoga, light exercise, a short walk or jogging or any other physical activity that makes you move can help lift your mood. When you exercise, it releases endorphins which are naturally released in your system to enhance your mood and to improve anxiety.

The treatment: just imagine movement is turning the switch to your energy levels. The morning is no longer a drag but you wake up feeling refreshed, energetic and willing to take the bull by its horns.

5. Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Breakfast does indeed make a big difference in how much energy and how much focus. A mid-morning meal with proteins, healthy fats, and whole grains stabilizes the level of sugar and does not allow the crash of the morning.

Skipping breakfast usually results in a substitute bite to eat, such as a sugary flavor, or another hit of caffeine, which makes individuals shaky and unfocused. On the one side, feeding your body with healthy food shows that you do respect and take care of yourself which extends into the rest of the day.

6. Write or Journal

It takes only a few minutes in the morning to get that mental clutter out of the way by writing. Write out what you want to accomplish in the day, things that you are thankful about or just write anything that comes to your mind.

Such an exercise brings about self-awareness and will. Rather than being torn in many directions, you start off with the clarity of what is really important. Others know it as the concept of mental housekeeping; to straighten out thoughts before moving into the day.

7. Every Day Purposes

Instead of only responding to whatever occurs, readjust your attitude on how you wish to present yourself. Perhaps you want to be patient, attentive or kind. Saying it in the morning leads you to think and act accordingly the entire day.

It is as though you give your brain a GPS. The intention takes you back on track, even in the event that distractions or difficulties may arise.

8. Limit Phone use at Early On

Checking your phone upon waking, will fill your head with messages, news and notification. All of a sudden, you are responding to agendas of others rather than yours.

Even a 30-minute postponement of screen time provides time to relax and do such rituals as stretching, journaling, or eating breakfast mindfully. One of the most effective methods is to preserve the first few minutes of the day and this way set the appropriate tone.

9. Practice Gratitude

Being grateful helps you change your attitude by moving out of the lack mode to the abundance one. Make it a morning ritual to write (or merely think of) three things you are, or have been, grateful about every day. They do not have to be tremendous they can be something as simple as good coffee, warm blanket and chirping birds.

10. Create Consistency

The key to successful morning rituals does not include doing it flawlessly but doing so in the right manner on a regular basis. What counts is that you do your routine consistently until it becomes automatic, even in as little as three steps such as water, stretching, and journaling.
