Merlinite Rough
Merlinite’s mineral name is Indigo Gabbro. This mystical stone is a combination of manganese oxide with inclusions of both potassium and barium. This particular variety occurs in Cornwall in the United Kingdom. Associated by name, after the great wizard, Merlin, who was King Arthur’s legendary mentor, this stone is considered the Stone of Self-Mastery. It exhibits traits of duality: black and white, day and night, light and dark. Merlinite waves its wand of energy in order to communication with the Archetypal energies within nature itself, including the plant kingdom, mineral kingdom, animal spirits and the elemental allies, such as the fey folk, pixies, dryads and gnomes.
This stone encourages the world of dreams and dreaming, teaching us the fundamental of mysticism, past incarnations and recollections. Wonderful stone to use at Samhain, as it eloquently lifts the veil between the spiritual and the physical planes assisting in contacting souls who have passed over. It opens one’s energy field to its innate capacity to serve as a channel for manifestation. Red Aventurine Tumblestone Plus
Red Aventurine Tumblestone Plus – With lovely inclusions of mica, muscovite and hematite, this stone has a deep, grounding connection to our physical body and our Root Chakra energy. It helps with strength and vitality, especially when you need a boost of energy or a “spark” of fire. Red aventurine also has the distinct ability to enhance one’s prana or life force. It engages your perseverance and determination in order to accomplish tasks and make progress in life.
A member of the quartz family, Aventurine, (SiO2) is a blue chalcedony that contains small inclusions of one of several shiny minerals which give the stone a glistening effect. The glistening effect of Aventurine is known as aventurescence. The color of the aventurescence depends on the mineral included in the stone. Mica inclusions give the give the stone a yellowish or silverish glitter or sheen. Goethite and Hematite inclusions give the stone a reddish or grayish glitter or sheen. Fuschite inclusions give the stone a greenish sheen. This variety of muscovite mica also gives blue aventurine its color.
