Shadow Self: Does Your Shadow Self Attract Energy? The Magnetism of Unhealed Frequencies Leave a comment

In the unseen corners of your mind exists a counterpart of yourself that contains energy—the shadow self. Our shadow self is full of unrecognized desires, buried feelings and memories of pain. The shadow self is not an enemy to be eliminated, but a magnet that needs to be discovered. The questions are;Does your shadow self have the ability to attract energy? The answer can be found in the low key and high-end magnetism of what we call unhealed frequencies.
What is the Shadow Self

Carl Jung talked about the shadow self as it as the unconscious side of the personality which the conscious ego is not identified with—usually because it is uncomfortable, painful, or taboo. So, when we disown our personalities and all those feelings & emotions tied to those parts of us, they don’t disappear. They merely remain as an energetic reservoir that lives in our psyches. They will often be expressed as sabotage, projection, triggers, and symptoms of behaviors that continuously reoccur at times we are consciously trying to make changes in our lives.

But the shadow self is not all destructive, it is simply a storehouse of possible energy—raw potential energy, primal frequency, and magnetism.

The Magnetism of Unhealed Frequencies

Energy is never static whether it is the physical or emotional universe. Universal truths will resonate and stick to the bonds of Sierra braid theory, where nature and healing can be associated to the levels of how well we can charge or discharge the magnetism of our frequencies.

A person who has unresolved abandonment trauma may be continually attracting the same emotionally unavailable partners to them. This is not random, this is energetic signatures coming from the shadow self asking to be seen, to be felt, to be transformed.

This force of energetic magnetism is overwhelmingly misperceived. People think they are cursed, or unlucky. This is not true, the shadow self magnetizes energetic forces not because it is dark or bad, but because it has a pure and powerful intrinsic desire to feel whole. The more we suppress and push these energies down the more amplified they become. This generally energy is manifested as anxiety, depression, conflict, or uneasiness.

From Suppression to Integration

To change this magnetism, the initial idea is to first recognize what’s happening. Shadow work is an intentional process to shed light on the shadow self. It isn’t about eliminating it or “fixing” it; it is more about acceptance, and then integration. When the unconscious comes into the conscious, you now have some degree of control over it, and can start to change the energy it gives off.

When you integrate your shadow self:

  • You feel less triggered externally.
  • You stop the cycle of self-destructive patterns.
  • You begin to attract opportunities and relationships that are aligned with your healed energy.
  • You reclaim power, confidence, and creativity that you may not have even recognized you were missing.

The Spiritual Lens

From an energetic place the shadow self is a teacher, and a sacred one at that. Many of the spiritual teaching traditions I have been exposed to and worked in, teach that wholeness is not about defeating the darkness, it is about creating balance with the light. The yin and the yang, the light and the dark, the divine and the earthly, exist to be whole. Denying your shadow is denying half of your power.

When you engage your shadow through compassion rather than judgment, you shift its frequency. What was once capable of attracting pain, can now draw growth, clarity, or peace. The energy that used to magnetize suffering, becomes the energy that will magnetize transformation.

In Closing

Your shadow self is not in fact an enemy or dark ally, it is a reflection of yourself, it is a teacher of yours, it is an invitation to your potential. Yes, it does attract energy to itself. But, that magnetism is not meant to punish you, it is meant to awaken you. Every emotional wound has a frequency, and every frequency comes with a lesson. The more consciously you dare to step into your shadow, the more powerfully you can shift those frequencies from pain, to something purposefully done.

Healing is not about being someone else, it is about being whole. And to be whole, you must embrace the place that most are afraid to look: within the shadow self.
